Originally a 1.8 8v GTI it now has a 2.8 VR6 engine from a 1996 MK3 Golf it was put in with about 80,000 miles in. The engine was put in before I bought the car and has been in for around a year. It pulls very well and the only problem I have had id the coilpack which has only just been changed along with the spark plugs. It is very quick car and sounds amazing. It has a complete stainless steel exhaust from the manifold which is a 4-2 manifold, the backbox is the standard backbox as I preffered the look, and has only been since september.
The car was fitted with clocks from a MK3 at 120000 miles and the new clocks currently read 155000. I have covered 6000 miles since i have owned it.
It has new G60 wheels and centre caps
Uprated brakes to G60 brakes with green stuff pads
Supersport coilovers not too low big improvement on handling
All four arches have been rolled at a cost of £200 so the car can easily go lower with wider wheels

11 months MOT needed a new front wheel bearing and cv boot as well as a windscreen wiper.
Also the drivers front has had a new hub and top mount.
New coilpack and spark plugs
Have a whole load of receipts and service history
Only selling as I am going to sea for 5 months and don't want to leave the car standing
Bad points
Body work is in really good condition considering its over 21 years old but there are some stonechips and surface rust patches no dents or scratches though
The head lining was sagging and fell out so this is missing am trying to find a replacement and will include this if I can find one close by
The pasanger seat doesn't tilt forward
the rest of the interior is in really good condition
